Burnette was an incredible woman, I will never forget the wonderful peanut butter cookies she made. We were so lucky to have had such good cooks working in our school cafeteria during my school days. Burnette Pitts and Jane Tate were two of the best cooks in town and we got to benefit from it everyday!!! Prayers to the family!!!

Mrs. Pitts had a firey personality & was a true sweetheart.
She worked hard, but it was a labor of love. No doubt about it, she was the best cook around. She was one of those people who truly blessed your life just by knowing her.
Prayers for comfort to her family .

Mrs. Pitts was a joy to grow up knowing. She was so kind and gentle with me. I always visited with her when I was a kid growing up in Newcastle. She lived across from my Uncle Charlie and Aunt Lois Posey. She will have a special place in my heart.
